Changelog

A running record of what has changed in Lumen, with the newest release first.

v0.2.1 - Study tools update

September 1, 2026

  • The unit selector in the notes editor now features the option to add a new unit from the current page, without having to navigate out.
  • The selected markdown type (bold, asterisk, etc.) now light up when the button is actually pressed, rather than when the first character is typed.
  • If a title is placed at the top of a page and the note is untitled, the title will now be used as the note's name.
  • Fixed a bug where the page delete button would dissapear on certain devices.
  • Fixed a bug where pressing enter enough times to create a new page, or reaching the bottom of a page, would cause new lines to be created on the new page but the cursor would not actually jump to the new page.
  • Tuned job estimates for study time estimates and feedback. More finetuning will likely be needed, as it appears some of these estimates are consistently off.

v0.2.0 - Study tools update

August 24, 2026

  • Fixed flashcards and practice tests generating from the wrong notes. You can now target one unit, all units, or only notes that do not already have that study set.
  • Added source tracking for generated study sets so notes are not silently regenerated into duplicate flashcards or tests.
  • Added AI questions grounded in selected notes and units.
  • AI rate-limit and high-traffic responses now retry automatically after about two seconds without making you retake a scan.
  • Fixed scanned Markdown being imported as raw data. Headings, formatting, line breaks, and tables now render in the editor.
  • Added editable tables to the notes editor with Markdown round-tripping.
  • Fixed long notes pushing content off the paper. Overflow now continues onto a new page.
  • Added Markdown typing shortcuts, including headings, lists, checklists, Ctrl/Cmd+B for bold, and etc.
  • Added editing for unit names, quiz dates, and test dates.
